Ann Arbor, Michigan - Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT) is pleased to announce its acquisition of the LANDMARK Technologies, Inc., an environmental consulting and engineering firm with offices in Benton Harbor and Lansing, Michigan.

Founded in 1988, ECT has been ranked among the top 200 environmental engineering firms nationwide by Engineering News Record for the past nine years. With nearly 250 employees located in 16 offices, ECT offers the complete spectrum of environmental and natural resource management services required to support our private and public clients with special expertise in water resources, ecology, site assessment, remediation, and environmental compliance services. ECT’s assignments range in size from small, specialty tasks with budgets of less than $1,000 to multi-million, multi-disciplinary efforts.

"Our experience with large-scale permitting, contaminated sediment, and ecosystem restoration projects is a natural fit with the work LANDMARK has been doing in western Michigan", Wolf said, referring to brownfield projects like the planned Harbor Shores development, a $500 Million mixed-use development in the heart of Benton Harbor.

He said the acquisition of LANDMARK is a function of the firm’s growing operations in western Michigan, noting that a joint venture involving the two companies was awarded a multi-year contract in late 2005 to investigate and clean up sites of environmental contamination on behalf of the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.

With the addition of LANDMARK, ECT now has seven Michigan offices including Ann Arbor, Benton Harbor, Brighton, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Mt. Clemens.
